Macworld Conference & Expo Boston 2005: Podcasting For The Masses - Finding Podcasts & Recommendations
There are, literally, thousands of podcasts out on the Web, with more coming online every day. To find those that might interest you, visit:
Hint: Don't just assume that those listed at the top or in the "Top Ten" or "Most Popular" or how ever they are listed in any directory are the best. Do a little digging based on keywords or just random surfing of the listings. You'll be amazed at what is out there.
To get you started, these are some of my favorites, in no particular order:
The User Group Report - If we couldn't recommend it, that wouldn't say much, now would it?
Daily Source Code with Adam Curry - This one is a must-listen if you are interested in the rapidly evolving world of podcasting. Sometimes on-topic, sometimes way off, it is a perfect example of the no-rules model of what can be done with a podcast.
The MacCast - A simple, direct yet very informative podcast "for Mac geeks by Mac geeks."
Rock and Roll Geek Show - Host Michael Butler talks to a variety of rock and roll celebrities and influential personalities, interspersed with his favorite tunes.
MacReviewCast - A tightly focused show that reviews Mac products in a concise fashion.
The Mac Observer's Geek Gab - One of the newer podcasts from an established, quality Mac news site, The Mac Observer
IT Conversations - an eclectic mix of technology-related programs. Often includes audio presentations from a variety of specialized conferences.
RadioMacGuys - a personal look at Macintosh news, information and trends in an approachable, low-key format.
