The MUG Event Calendar for October 15: Bob Bowman of Apple, Dan Wood from Karelia, Prosoft Engineering Times Two, Microsoft, Larry Jordon of Sorenson Media and iLife ’08 Everywhere
While this week’s MUG Event Calendar is filled with interesting guests and vendor appearances, the star of the week is Apple’s iLife ’08.
California groups will play host to Dan Wood of Karelia, Bob Bowman of Apple and Nadyne Mielke of Microsoft, while noted photographer Bryson Keidich will discuss the Camera Raw format in Pennsylvania. Jennifer and Gordon Bell have become a force on the Mac User Group circuit, appearing this week at two different Arizona groups, while Larry Jordon of Sorenson Media will appear as the featured speaker at an Final Cut Pro group in Massachusetts.
With all that, however, the real stars of the week will be the components of iLife ’08: iPhoto, iMovie, iTunes, GarageBand, iWeb and iDVD. Presentations on any or all of the programs are on the agendas everywhere from Alabama to Michigan, Texas, to Germany and beyond.
Other MUG meetings will feature a swapfest, a demo of Circus Ponies’ NoteBook, print design tips from graphic designer Daniel Lee, Adobe Photoshop, internet browsers and more.
