The MUG Event Calendar for July 16: Prosoft Engineering, Reps from the Apple Store, AT&T and CompUSA, Garage Sales, Swap Meets and “MacMan”
The iPhone continues to lead the pack as a primary Mac User Group topic this week, but there are other important presenters on the agenda, and not all of them have to do with Apple’s latest product.
Jennifer and Gordon Bell of Prosoft Engineering will show off their products to a California group and after multiple schedule conflicts, Garry Barak aka “MacMan” will finally get to talk to a group in Australia.
While the iPhone as dominant topic isn’t notable, some of the presenters are. Groups in Tennessee and Pennsylvania will see it courtesy of Apple Store Reps, an Arizona group will have the presentation from an Apple Rep at the local CompUSA, and a Georgia group will host the manager from a local AT&T Store for a look at not only the device but also the, “…hysteria surrounding it’s release.”
Mac networking will be on the agenda in Germany, a picnic in Japan, a BBQ in the United Kingdom and web desgin in Canada. A State Police officer will discuss internet crimes, scams and identity theft in Virginia, transforming web sites from old to new will be covered in New York. There will be swap meets and garage sales in Texas and Michigan and “Christmas-In-July” comes in California.
Want to see your group’s meeting mentioned here? We have to know about it first. Email your information and it might just happen.
