The MUG Event Calendar for January 21: James Lee of Tropical Software, Chuck Toporek of O’Reilly and Macworld Expo, Macworld Expo, Macworld Expo
Macworld Conference & Expo may be a memory for attendees, but all the announcements from Apple and others take center stage starting this week at Mac User Group meetings.
Jim Lee of Tropical Software stayed in California after Expo just to present to a group near San Francisco, while on the other side of the continent, Chuck Toporek of O’Reilly will virtual-visit a student group in Massachusetts. A Texas group will hold a swap meet and JVC will present to a Final Cut Pro Group in California.
After that, it is all about Expo. From the MacBook Air to the winners of the Macworld Best of Show Award winners, to the very small but very cool hardware and software on display in the developers areas, Mac User Groups will be hearing reports from attending members, pouring over audio and video reports from many sources and in general having a good time learning about what’s new in the Apple universe.
Shouldn’t your group’s events be on The MUG Event Calendar and in our weekly email Briefing? The Philadelphia PowerBook Users Group knows what to do and you should too: Email your group’s meeting information to The MUG Center.
