The MUG Event Calendar for January 15: Macworld Reports, DriveSavers, Swap Meets, Skype, Open Source and More
Last week, Macworld Conference & Expo dominated the Apple industry news. This week, the domination continues at Mac User Groups around the globe, as those who didn’t get to attend Expo talk to those who did, and to review all the announcements, from the iPhone and Apple TV to the many products and services introduced at the show.
The Macworld report/wrap-up/review meetings start in Oregon and go to Australia, the United Kingdom and beyond. If a MUG is meeting this week, Expo news is on the agenda, official or not.
Two different groups are having swap meets this week, giving members the chance to sell or trade hardware and software they are no longer using.
Dead hard drive? If you desperately need to recover your data, DriveSavers is presenting in California. Maybe their horror stories will help you decide that the time has come to implement that backup regimine.
Other meetings that round out the week include Skype video, a review of Open Source projects, FileMaker Pro and more.
What’s on your agenda? Let us know and we’ll get you listed so everyone else will know too.
