The MUG Event Calendar for January 14: Macworld Expo (What Else?), James Lee of Tropical Software and Lots of Leopard
The focus this week is, obviously, on Macworld Conference & Expo, and all the new Apple goodies that are so highly anticipated. For the MUG members who aren’t making the trek to San Francisco, the week is filled with Leopard demos of all flavors.
To see all that’s going on at Macworld Expo for Mac User Group members, visit our dedicated MUG Event Calendar; there’s just no way to put it all together here. Suffice it to say that a whole host of Mac luminaries will be appearing in the User Group Lounge, and MUG Center editor Chuck Joiner is doing a “User Groups 2.0” presentation there on Wednesday. That same night, video enthusiasts and professionals can attend the Final Cut Pro User Group SuperMeet. Mac User Groups are once again represented on the show floor by a rotating slate of exhibiting MUGs, and all MUG members and leaders attending the show are invited to the MacLevelTen meet-up on Tuesday evening. Watch the front page of The MUG Center each day for a summary of the MUG events (and more) at Expo.
James Lee of Tropical Software is coming to the show, but he isn’t content just with parties in the after-hours. Jim will be at the Tri-Valley Macintosh Users Group on Wednesday to show off TopXNotes and provide his insights on the keynote announcements.
For groups who aren’t focused on the goings-on in San Francisco (and who won’t be), Mac OS X Leopard will be featured at a variety of groups. iPhoto, SoundTrack Pro 2, questions and answers and more area also on the MUG agenda this week.
Want to see your group’s activities on The MUG Event Calendar and in our weekly email Briefing? The Rest of Us knows how and you should too: Email your group’s meeting information to The MUG Center.
