Santa Fe Macintosh Users Group Issues Call for Submissions for Short Movie Festival

The Santa Fe Macintosh Users Group has issued a call for submissions for their 2nd Annual Short Movie Festival, to be held on May 1st, 2008.

The rules are simple: any movie 5 minutes and under, any genre, any topic, but no commercials, industrials, or explicit adult content. Your submission needs to be received no later than April 16th if submitted by mail. If you plan to upload our entry, you have until April 21. The entry form and complete details can be found on the SFMUG web site.

The categories and prizes, $2,871 worth, include:

• Best of the Festival Award – Apple Final Cut Studio 2($1299), Toon Boom Studio 4($329), Toon Boom Storyboard($249)

• Gold Award – Final Cut Express 4 ($199), Apple iPod Nano($150), iDive ($79)

• Silver Award – BannerZest Pro($129), $50.00 Apple iTunes Gift Card, VideoPier ($49), PulpMotion($49)

• Audience Choice Award – Apple iPod Touch($259)

A selection of the best movies submitted will also be screened at “New Mexico Film Industry Party” in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

You don’t have to be a member of SFMUG to enter; in fact, you don’t need to be in New Mexico to enter. Send your entries in and see if you can’t take home one of the prizes.
