MacCamp #50 Will Feature Jean MacDonald, Rob Griffiths and Plenty of Useful Mac Sessions
Achieving a significant milestone, on April 16 -18, the Portland Macintosh Users Group (PMUG) will hold their 50th MacCamp, the event that combines the best parts of a user group meeting, a tech conference and a camping trip.
To help mark the anniversary of the event, two special guests will join the panel of outstanding instructors: Jean MacDonald of SmileOnMyMac, who will present PDFpen, and Rob Griffiths, formerly of Macworld and now with Many Tricks who will talk about, what else, Mac OS X Hints.
This iteration of MacCamp will also feature presentations on the combination of Macintosh and Windows, Bento, digital photography, and backups. All that, along with the ad hoc networking sessions, game challenges and more.
MacCamp started in 1985 to help Macintosh users learn more about their computers. What started as a cold fall event in an old Boy Scout camp has moved a couple miles to the Silver Falls State Park conference center. Which means heated lodges, maid service, and someone else to do the cooking.
Complete information on registering, accommodations and the sessions can be found on The MacCamp 50 page on the PMUG web site.
