The MUG Event Calendar for January 8: Apple, Intel Transition, Rogue Sheep, “What I Got for Christmas” and of course, Macworld Expo
You might think that all the Mac User Group activity for the coming week will be in San Francisco. Not everyone made the trip to San Francisco, so there are plenty of MUG meetings and terrific presentations for those who stayed at home. But Expo is clearly the place to be if you’re a Mac enthusiast.
A full slate of MUG events starts on Monday with User Group University, including a Steve Wozniak keynote address, and continues with a full schedule at the User Group Lounge and a user group presence on the show floor. There are just too many separate items to list; get the complete details in The MUG Center’s Macworld Expo 2007 MUG Event Calendar.
If you’re not at the show, you might be in California, where Arthur Maddalena of Apple will give “A Peek at the Leopard, Mac OS X 10.5.” Or you might be in Maryland, where you can learn how to build your image with software from BeLight and Laughingbird. Or in Canada where the discussion will be on “Things Astronomical.” Or in the United Kingdom, where topics will range from Wacom hardware to Switchers to Cataloging your media collections. Or in Washington state, where Chris Parrish of the Rogue Sheeep will talk about using Quartz Composer.
There are lots more, but no mater where Mac people gather this week, all eyes will be on San Francisco and the announcements made by Apple and others.
What’s your group planning for your next meeting? Let us know and we’ll get you listed on the web’s most complete user group resource site.
