The MUG Event Calendar for the Week of September 22: Apple, FileMaker 13, Dropbox, and Yosemite
A video-heavy agenda is on tap for this week’s MUG Event Calendar.
A Boston-based creative pro group will host a “Boyhood” editor, while another in Los Angeles will host editors from “Masters of Sex” and the “Scream” films. Apple will visit a Virginia Mac users Group, while a Michigan group will discuss Dropbox and an Ohio group will discuss Yosemite.

We welcome the editorial team of Masters of Sex, one of the finest dramas on television today. Two time Emmy nominated editor Fabienne Bouville will be joined by editor Blake Maniquis as well as assistant editors Rebekah Parmer, Gennady Fridman and John Caldwell to talk about, well – How Masters of Sex Does it. We welcome assistant editor Mike Matzdorff who has worked with FCP X at the Studio level. Mike will show us real-world, battle-tested editorial workflows for picture, sound, vfx, changes and final delivery. Editor Monica Daniel returns to lacpug to show before and after timelines to demonstrate the creative workflows she used in a feature documentary she edited about the “Scream films.” Let’s call it “Still Screaming: Cutting a Horror |
