TMC Survey: Raffle Question & Trade Show Expense Answers
Macworld Conference & Expo, whether it be on the East Coast or West Coast, is a great place for user group membrs and leaders to meet and connect with each other, with vendors, and with a wide variety of industry contacts. Many Mac users report that they return from such events "recharged." However, attending trade shows or conferences can become an expensive proposition.
Does your group help pay for officers or ambassadors to attend trade shows? |

Comments:
- ... but did pay for User Group University (Is it coming back??)
- Formerly paid their admission costs for User Group University
- Our Ambassador treats her membership as mostly a private perquisite.
- Apple Australia doesn't allow MUG's to promote themselves at their shows.
- It's the expense.
- But I think it would be a good idea.
- The contacts, information and door prizes are considered well worth the subsidy (under $100) for an officer to represent our group at Macworld and give a presentation at our next meeting.
- I wish we could afford it. I'm into it, though, so the money is worth it.
- but only one
- Seeing as it would cost several thousands for airfares alone from down-under, it isn't a realistic option for us
