Comments:
- Private section message board is operated via a FirstClass Server. Some of our SIGs offer free raffle tickets and last month to help celebrate our 25th birthday we had a prize draw of a 1GB iPod shuffle. We have on sale at least 5 different CDs and/or DVDs each month, with new titles been released every couple of months.
- classroom with over 12 networked iMacs, overhead projection, and classes two evenings a week and some special classes on Sat.
- Fundraising auction where members can bid on new and used software and hardware (donated by vendors and/or members) for personal purchase at discounts sometimes as steep as 80% off MSR. Monies raised support our scholarship program.
- We do on-demand CD's. We dropped the regularly published version a couple years ago as so many members have DSL or broadband that it became a white elephant. We also are an ISP for members. Also, members are allowed limited access to an on-line membership database to make payments, change their password or update their address or phone number.
- Members & guests get pizza and a drink each month.
- we're wanting to get SIGs rolling
- club has hardware to assist a new Mac owner in moving files from an older, non-Ethernet Mac, to their new machine and we loan this plus technical advice to members - club runs one-hour MacHelp session just prior to each of our monthly public meetings. MacHelp sessions are for members only.
- classes for beginners every wensday a series of 8 rotating classes store that has cables mice DSL connection members can use in the office
- Meetings at school, during lunchtime.
