Comments:

  • Would be nice if the store knew about the event, and the employees knew as well. Not just an Apple solutions person.
  • The only thing not listed above is Promotion. The recent event was well promoted but CompUSA dropped the ball on execution as a whole.
  • Sufficient notice that the MUG can help with publicity and perhaps even with the event itself.
  • These events need more publicity and earlier than just a week before.
  • We don't have an Apple Store or Apple Reseller within 100 miles of our location, so none of the above makes a difference at all. Most of us order our products online.
  • To be held at a time that is convenient for working people. Early morning or evening. Even a lunchtime event would work.
  • These events need to be true events, not just a couple sodas, a bowl of potato chips and some flyers.
  • It is nice to see Apple events at CompUSA but they need to be done right.
  • Invite some local user group people to do presentations. They would be flattered and the event would take on more depth.
  • Take a lesson from Apple Store productions.
  • Must be well promoted before hand to both Mac and PC users Knowlegdeable staff is a MUST, without them the entire event is pointless and quality demos (product or how-to) should be the incentive to attend and raffles and discounts are a great bonus Refreshments help keep attendees lingering afterwards - to discuss with others and the presenters what happened and also while munching or drinking they are more inclined to look around the store and perhaps purchase something.

The results of all of our survey questions are archived in our TMC Survey section and provide an interesting and informative picture of how the world of Macintosh User Groups really works.
