Macworld Magazine and Chris Breen have partnered with The MUG Center to extend their support for Macintosh User Groups by offering another special resource to help add value and information to MUG membership.
"Breen's Bungalow" -- a QuickTime video tutorial created by Macworld contributing editor, Chris Breen -- appears each month on the CD bundled with newsstand copies of Macworld magazine. Now, special versions of "Breen's Bungalow" are being made available to Macintosh User Groups to distribute to their members on CD or via hard drive copy, and/or present at their meetings. Even better, these special editions will not only include new content produced exclusively for user groups, but will also be of higher quality than has ever been published.
Chris is well known for not only his "Mac 911" column in Macworld, but also as the author of Peachpit Press' Secrets of the iPod (3ed edition) and Mac 911. Chris' quick wit, extensive troubleshooting knowledge, and entertaining style makes him a favorite user group presenter. His support of user groups is not limited to "Breen's Bungalow." Chris also makes portions of his "Mac 911" column available for publication in MUG newsletters exclusively through The MUG Center's Newsletter Content E-mail List.
"Breen's Bungalow" is available to Apple-recognized user groups and can be obtained by sending an email request with your group's name, web site with current information and leader's name (if other than the person requesting) to: [email protected]. You will receive the URL and password to download the file. Attribution guidelines and information are included in the download.
To be informed of the availability of new editions of Breen's Bungalow, watch the front page of The MUG Center or join our low-traffic announcement/bulletin email list.
