Macworld Conference & Expo - San Francisco 2005: Special Events at the Apple Store

The San Francisco Apple Store has invited user group members who are in town for Macworld Conference & Expo to stop by for a series of special evening presentations in their theater throughout the week. Starting at 6 PM Monday you can continue your Mac-centric day with presentations on interesting topics by a variety of well-known authors and Mac personalities. Speakers and topics scheduled include:
Monday, January 10
- Chuck Rogers from MacSpeech will talk about his company's voice recognition application.
- Thomas M. Simmons of ARCHVISTA Building Technologies will demonstrate ArchiCAD, the premier CAD program for the Mac.
Tuesday, January 11
- Phil Smith from FileMaker will focus on how creative professionals use FileMaker to manage their projects, people, and digital assets.
- Bob “Dr. Mac” LeVitus, author of GarageBand for Dummies, will create a song from scratch, in less than an hour, right before your eyes
Wednesday, January 12
Thursday, January 13
- Alex Lindsay, Chief Architect, Pixel Corps will discuss matchmoving tools and techniques in professional video editing projects.
- Rob Magiera, creative director at Noumena Digital, will discuss how Maya can be used to create incredible realistic images.
