There are a number of activities for student and campus user group leaders and members to be excited about at this year's Macworld Conference & Expo, and the related events.
User Group University
While all sessions at UGU are useful to MUG leaders, the "Attracting Youth To User Groups" presentation will focus on the role of young people in user groups, both from a membership and leadership standpoint.
MacBeginnings - "An Introduction to User Groups"
The explosive growth and impact of campus groups will be included in this session, with a presentation by members of the Campus Group Advisory Board.
Student Evening Event
The Apple Campus Group Advisory Board is inviting all campus user group leaders and campus user group supporters to take part in the Student Evening scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2004. This will be a great opportunity for students to meet and share ideas, and to make valuable contacts with one another. Please join us for a roundtable discussion at a local restaurant (exact time and location TBA) to talk about building and supporting campus groups and how to help them thrive in our individual atmospheres. So drop on by for some good food and friendly conversation about everything user groups. If you are interested in attending please e-mail [email protected] for more information.
User Group Lounge
A special session targeted at younger Macintosh users is scheduled for the User Group Lounge. Stop in and find out how user groups in communities and on campuses around the world offer events and resources for Mac users of all ages.
User Group Guides
Campus group leaders and members will be volunteering to act as guides to Macworld Conference & Expo. This is a terrific opportunity to meet new people and be a part of the Expo experience. To get involved, email [email protected].
